Dream It, Be It

CAREER SUPPORT FOR GIRLS

Dream It, Be It

Career Support and Mentoring Event

Dream It, Be It is a free conference for 9th to 12th grade girls for career and education planning. The program provides girls with access to professional role models, career education and the resources to live their dreams.

The Dream It, Be It conference is organized by a joint committee made up of members of Soroptimist International of Pasco-Kennewick (SIPK) and Soroptimist International of Three Rivers. The curriculum represents areas where girls need knowledge and skills in order to realize and live their dreams. Because we don't expect that all girls know what they want to do for the rest of their lives, and we also know that plans change, the skills developed through our curriculum can be applied to any goals the girls identify throughout their education and careers.

The conference will feature discussion panels of professional women and will cover topics such as: Discovering Dreams, Exploring Careers, Financial Basics and Putting Dreams Into Action.

Hearing professional women in different fields tell their stories was my favorite part of the day.

You might not end up where you thought, but explore and apply yourself.

I learned it is okay to have obstacles and setbacks. Everyone does. We can overcome them.

I met someone I could talk to who went through something I’m going through now.
